About Me

The beginning of my journey is a very good place to start, I was dancing as soon as I could walk. I was always prancing around the lounge and asking for the music on.

Dance is my language, what's yours?

My main quality is versatility.

I am super organised, driven and reliable.

  • I started dancing at two years old, from then on, I knew I wanted to be a professional dancer.

  • I attended the Gillian Cartwright School of Dance (now the Joel Morris School of Dance) in Shanklin for the foundational years of training and moved on to complete higher training at age 16.

  • Dancing takes much hard work, requiring daily training and practice.

  • My Parents have always been a great inspiration to me, as they offer much support and encouragement. Much of my experience involved gaining dance experience through workshop and audition classes.

  • Year () I was chosen to take part in the Isle of Wight Music, Dance and Drama Festival; in the dance section.

  • During my training Year (), I was asked to dance with Pasha from Strictly Come Dancing.

  • More carer highlights involved, going to the Nationals in London.

  • Performing in the Nutcracker with the English National Ballet.

  • Going to the Jersey Summer School for additional training and vocational experience.

  • Continued carer development through learning contemporary dance attending workshops, specialising in choreography and watching professional works.

  • Post-18, I chose the University route. The reason I made the decision to apply for universities instead of dance schools was the location and Chichester offered the high level training and has the facilities to cater for my autism.

  • Chichester Conservatoire University has offered an amazing support system for my autism.

  •  My hopes for the future, post-education, involve dancing professionally and teaching children how to dance; I love children and cannot wait to work with them further. This aspiration builds on the experience I had, working with children who suffered additional needs in theatre workshops, as a teaching assistant.

  • I have dreams as every dancer does, some worked out over the years and some didn't. I thought I would enter into the ballet profession. However, negative experiences particularly around accommodating for my autism lead me to the conclusion that alternative dance paths were a better fit.

  • Making the most of opportunities is important to me, I can only dance as long as my body lets me!!
